Basic materials supporting a host of industries
The inorganic chemicals division has the longest history of the many business segments that the Toagosei Group engages in. We supply a range of products, from raw materials for chemical products to caustic soda, caustic potash, various chlorides, sulfuric acid, and industrial gases used in a broad range of industries benefiting our lives. The acrylic monomer business is one of the Toagosei Group's core businesses. We are working to strengthen our business foundation through the concerted efforts of all Group companies in Japan and overseas. We are strengthening the foundation of monomers as an upstream business that supports the competitive cost of acrylic derivatives in aiming to grow the acrylic derivatives business, which is situated downstream in the acrylic chain.
Inorganic Products
We carry products that are widely used in various industries, including sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, and sulfuric acid.
Acrylic Monomers & Chemical Products
Acrylic acid is used as a raw material for our in-house downstream acrylic products. Acrylic esters (acrylates) are used to make paint, adhesives and acrylic rubbers, among other products. In addition to acrylic monomers, we manufacture and sell ATBS, which possesses a sulfonic acid group and is used in a wide range of applications, as well as ethylene carbonate, which is characterized by its high polarity and excellent solubility.
Industrial Gases
We supply a wide range of industrial gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, which contribute to the development of industries.
