Momosuke Fukuzawa establishes Yahagi Kogyo Co., Ltd., the predecessor of Toagosei, in Nagoya.
1944
Toagosei Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. is established after Yahagi Kogyo Co., Ltd. merges with Showa Soda Co., Ltd., Hokkai Soda Co., Ltd., and Rayon Soda Co., Ltd., resulting in the establishment of Toagosei.
1957
The new Tokushima Plant is opened to produce caustic soda and organic solvents.
1960
Toagosei Chemical Industry successfully commercializes Japan's first acrylic ester production plant.
1963
Toagosei Chemical Industry begins production of instant glue Aron Alpha.
1971
Toagosei Chemical Industry launches sales of Aron Alpha for consumers.
1973
Toagosei Chemical Industry completes work at its Nagoya Plant on an acrylic ester plant that uses propylene.
Toagosei Chemical Industry's affiliate Toajushi Kogyo Co., Ltd. merges with Teraoka Seisakusho to form Aron Kasei Co., Ltd.
1983
Toagosei Chemical Industry establishes Oita Chemical Co., Ltd. to produce acrylic acid.
1985
Toagosei Chemical Industry changes the Nagoya Plant's caustic soda production method
from mercury to ion-exchange membrane.
1988
Toagosei Chemical Industry changes the Tokushima Plant's caustic soda production method from mercury to ion-exchange membrane.
1989
Toagosei Chemical Industry establishes Toagosei America Inc.
1991
Toagosei Chemical Industry opens the Tsukuba Research Laboratory (currently, the Institute for Advanced Sciences) to develop new technologies and products.
1993
Toagosei Chemical Industry establishes Toagosei Hong Kong Ltd. to market Aron Alpha in Hong Kong.
1994
Toagosei Chemical Industry is renamed Toagosei Ltd. to commemorate its 50th anniversary.
Toagosei completes construction of its first overseas plant outside of Columbus, Ohio in the United States.
1995
Toagosei establishes Toagosei (Zhuhai) Ltd. in China as a plant for filling and packaging Aron Alpha.
1999
Toagosei completes production facilities in Singapore for acrylic acid and acrylic ester,
and commences production.
2000
Toagosei establishes Toa-Jet Chemical Co., Ltd. and Taiwan Toagosei Co., Ltd. to manufacture and market UV-curable resin in Taiwan.
2004
Toagosei establishes TOA-DIC Zhangjiagang Chemical Co., Ltd. to manufacture and market UV-curable resin in China.
2006
Toagosei spins off its polymer flocculant business and establishes MT AquaPolymer Inc.
2011
Toagosei opens the General Center of Research and Development.
Aron Kasei Co., Ltd. becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Toagosei merges with Tsurumi Soda Co., Ltd. and Nihon Junyaku Co., Ltd.
Toagosei installs an electrolysis machine using
the gas diffusion electrode method at its Tokushima Plant and becomes
the first in the world to commence commercial operations.

Toagosei establishes Toagosei (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Toagosei opens the Tokyo Technology Laboratory

Toagosei revamps its corporate philosophy to commemorate its 75th anniversary.
