Grades

Grades Appearance Average particle diameter (μm) Water content Heat resistance temperature
IV1000 White 1μm <1% 600℃

Mechanism of action

By inactivating the membrane proteins of the virus, that the virus is prevented from infecting the cells.

Antiviral effect

Viruses are inoculated into each of the sample and control samples, and the virus infection titer (the number of viruses) is measured after a certain period of standing. The difference between the logarithm of the infectious titer of the sample and the logarithm of the infectious titer of the control sample is called the antiviral activity value, and the higher the value, the greater the effectiveness.

Example of processing

Antiviral effect of textile processed products

Tested for antiviral activity against influenza viruses by dipping 1 g/m2 of IV1000 into non-woven fabrics.
(Test method for antiviral properties of textile products ISO 18184)

[Summary of antiviral test method]

  1. Antiviral-treated cloth and control cloth inoculated with virus solution
  2. Stabilized at 25°C for a predetermined time
  3. Collect virus solution
  4. Inoculate cells and culture
  5. Measure the number of infected cells (viral infection titer)
  6. Calculate antiviral activity based on infection titer
(Difference in the logarithm of the viral infection titer between the control and processed cloths)
    [Reference Evaluation Criteria (ISO18184)]
Antiviral activity value ≥3.0: Full effect
    3.0 > antiviral activity value ≥ 2.0 : Small effect

Antiviral effect of processed film products

1g/m2 coating of IV1000 was processed on polyester film and tested for antiviral activity against influenza virus
( Reference: Antiviral test method for textile products ISO 18184 )

*Contact with the virus solution was conducted by the film adhesion method
