ARUFON
ARUFON is the brand name for our acrylic polymer products obtained through Uniform Functional Oligomer (UFO) technologies, which are being developed by Toagosei. UFO technology is used to manufacture low molecular weight polymers with 100% efficiency by continuous polymerization of composite materials at high temperatures, especially acrylic monomers.
Features
ARUFON is a 100% polymer made using UFO technology, making it eco-friendly. Also, it uses almost no auxiliary materials such as chain transfer agents in accordance with high temperature continuous polymerization procedures, which results in acrylic polymer with superior durability including in terms of weatherability and heat resistance. Acrylic polymers can be manufactured over a wide range of glass transition points (Tg) and molecular weight ranges by using raw materials with different characteristics.

Specification
ARUFON solvent-free acrylic polymer lineup based on UFO technology
ARUFON UP-1000 series
The UP-1000 series is a non-functional group type acrylic polymer with high durability (weather resistance, heat resistance, repeated elastic fatigue resistance, etc.). It is useful as an adhesive sealant for building exteriors requiring durability and as a plasticizer for various plastics. It is also useful as a flow modifier in the molding of various plastics, a modifier for adhesives, and a leveling agent for paints.
ARUFON UH-2000 series
The UH-2000 series is a hydroxyl group-containing type acrylic polymer with high durability (weather resistance, heat resistance, repeated elastic fatigue resistance, etc.). It is useful as a base resin for various paints, powder coatings, high-solid paints, various adhesives, and sealing materials requiring durability. For example, when UH-2000 is used as a base resin for acrylic urethane sealing materials, it can be used as a sealant with high weather resistance.
ARUFON UC-3000, UF-5000 series
The UC-3000 series is an acrylic polymer with carboxy groups. It can be neutralized with alkaline water to make it soluble. It is useful for applications such as water-based additives, coating agents, pigment dispersants, and dispersants for emulsions.
UC-3510 can be used as a water-soluble plasticizer [PDF:267KB]. UF-5000 series is a carboxylic acid type acrylic polymer with long-chain alkyl groups.Like the UC-3000 series, it is useful for water-based additives, coating agents, pigment dispersants, and dispersants for emulsions.
ARUFON UG-4000 series
The UG-4000 series is an acrylic polymer with epoxy groups. It can be used as a modifier or compatibilizer for various resins by utilizing its reactivity with hydroxyl groups, carboxy groups and amide groups.
For example, when UG-4040 is added to PET resin, the reaction between UG-4040 and PET resin increases the molecular weight and improves the melt tension, resulting in improved extrusion and blow moldability of PET resin. Liquid types UG-4000 and 4010 are also effective in improving adhesion in applications such as adhesives and sealing materials.
ARUFON US-6000 series
The US-6000 series is an acrylic polymer with alkoxysilyl groups. It can be cross-linked using the reactivity of alkoxysilyl groups. For example, when used as a reactive plasticizer, it has excellent heat volatility resistance, migration, and bleed resistance.
