Tokushima Plant

The Tokushima Plant is situated in the rich natural environment of the Yoshino River. It produces inorganic products such as caustic soda and hydrochloric acid as well as amenity care materials like antimicrobial agents and deodorants. In 2013, the Tokushima Plant installed an electrolysis machine that uses the gas diffusion electrode method, becoming the first in the world to commence commercial operations with it. This machine reduces electricity usage by two-thirds compared to conventional methods, thus making the plant more competitive in the electrolysis business through energy-efficient technologies.
