Nagoya Criatio R＆D Center
As the core hub for developing new technologies and high value‑added products that will drive the future of our Group, our organization comprises three research institutes—the Fundamental Core Technology Laboratory, the New Products Research Laboratory, and the Mobility Products Research Laboratory. In 2025, we will further strengthen our foundation by establishing the new Research Solution Department to accelerate the expansion of our core businesses.
In addition, our two specialized technology development laboratories are advancing research and technological innovation aimed at acquiring next‑generation advanced processing capabilities.
The Roles of the Nagoya Criatio R＆D Center
Fundamental Core Technology Laboratory
Our mission is to actively support R&D and production sites, as well as to work on themes related to new products and businesses, and to serve as a bridge to commercialization or practical application.
NEW PRODUCTS RESEARCH LABORATORY
We are working to develop high value-added products based on our core technologies. In addition to enhancing collaboration with our customers, we are working on the use of Materials Informatics (MI) and computational chemistry to promote faster research and development.
MOBILITY PRODUCTS RESEARCH LABORATORY
We aim to develop innovative materials such as adhesive functional materials and battery materials in the field of battery materials, mainly for automotive applications. At the same time, we are improving our evaluation capabilities and promoting more efficient development.
RESEARCH SOLUTION DEPARTMENT
We are committed to expanding our business by creating new markets distinct from our existing operations through the exploration of new applications for our high value‑added products and through co‑creation with our customers.
