JIS Mark for "General Use Aron Alpha" Permitted

Toagosei's Takaoka Factory (Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture) obtained a permission for marking JIS on a general use instant adhesive "Aron Alpha" (Adhesive for General Crafts: JIS S 6040). The Takaoka Factory has become the only JIS-registered factory producing instant adhesives. At the Takaoka Factory, we are now making preparations to obtain ISO-9001 certification for all adhesives, including those for industrial use, and to achieve this, we will strengthen our quality control system.

"Adhesive for general crafts: JIS S 6040" is a Japanese Industrial Standard which regulates adhesives generally used at home and in schools. In the past, JIS established five types of adhesive such as synthetic rubber type of adhesives and epoxy resin type of adhesives. In October, 1997, the sixth type, "(-cyanoacrylate type of adhesives," was newly added.
Encouraged by this addition, our Takaoka Factory which is producing instant adhesive, applied for examination and was authorized as a JIS Mark Permitted factory.

General use "Aron Alpha" has occupied a large share of the domestic market as a top brand instant adhesive since it was marketed for the first time as "Bond Aron Alpha" in 1971. It has even become a pronoun for instant adhesive. The JIS permission applies to "Bond Aron Alpha" and a related product, "Aron Alpha for Fishing".
Toagosei will emphasize the quality and reliability of its products to customers through the JIS registration of "Aron Alpha" and activate demand for instant adhesives by introducing new products.
