Marketing of "Kaligreen," a Human and Environmentally Friendly Disease Prevention Agent for Farming and Gardening, Begins in the United States
"Kaligreen" has a superior ability to prevent mildew and rust diseases and it is widely used for domestic strawberry and cucumber growing. Last year, it was registered in the United States and we started to market it on the west coast, beginning with the state of California.
The active agent in "Kaligreen" is potassium hydrogen carbonate, which exists in such natural environments as hot springs and rivers, and it is approved as a food additive for baking powder overseas. It is different from other types of existing synthetic agricultural chemicals and cures diseases in plants as well as providing nutrition for healthy growth.
Since its registration was approved for use with grapes, cucumbers, strawberries, roses and so forth, marketing began in April this year under the commercial name "Kaligreen" and it is widely used to prevent mildew on grapes. Since a large number of grapes are processed into wine in California, people around the world are likely to enjoy Californian wine made from grapes grown with the use of "Kaligreen" from the fall of this year.
