Status of ISO certifications
By establishing an internationally accepted Quality System with the highest quality control standards, Toagosei aims to be a highly respected company that is known and trusted by its customers worldwide.
To that end, Toagosei has set forth the following quality related policy toward achieving ISO 9000 Quality System certifications:
- Provide technology supported products and services which satisfy the needs of its customers, while giving due consideration to environmental protection and safety.
- Promote quality control throughout the Company and make every effort to maintain and improve the quality and stable production of its products.
Status of Activities for the ISO certifications
Toagosei's ISO 9000 program began with the successful certification of the Nagoya Facility which achieved ISO 9002 Quality System certification in December, 1995. Current quality program status is as follows:
Nagoya Plant
ISO 9002. Certification was expanded in January, 1998 to include basic chemicals such as caustic soda, chlorides, sulfuric acid, acrylic acids and acrylic esters.
ISO 9001. Certification was achieved in October, 1998 to include high-function chemicals such as acrylic polymers, ARONIX (oligoester acrylates), ARONPOWDER (coating powder), PES (polyester adhesives), and ARON COAT(water-proof coating materials) .
Tokushima Plant
ISO 9002. Certification was achieved in July, 1998 to include caustic soda, chlorides, chlorinated organic solvents, and ARON COMPOUND (blow molding compounds).
ISO 9001. Preparation for this certification is currently underway. Certification audit is scheduled for February, 1999 which will include newly developed products such as IXE (ion exchangers), NOVALON (antimicrobial chemicals) and ARON D (vinylidene chloride-acrylonitrile copolymer emulsion).
Takaoka Plant
ISO 9001. Certifications was achieved in October, 1998 to include high-function specialty chemicals such as adhesives (ARON ALPHA and others), acrylic polymers and acrylic water stoppers and basic chemicals such as caustic potash and MAC (methallyl chloride).
Sakaide Plant
ISO9001. Certification was achieved in November, 1998 to include ARON FLOC (water treatment high polymer flocculant) and others.
Toagosei America Inc. (US subsidiary)
ISO 9001. Certification was achieved in March, 1998 to include ARON ALPHA and KRAZY GLUE (cyanoacrylate adhesives) and other related products.
The above certificates include both the manufacturing facilities and Company-wide related activities such as those which take place at Nagoya Research Laboratory and various Sales Departments (including branch offices).
